<p><em>Unter dem Druck des Ereignishaften entstehen blinde Flecken, alternative Sichtweisen und Erzählungen bleiben verborgen, Texte und Bilder unveröffentlicht, das Verschwinden von Orten undokumentiert.</em></p> <p>Die <em>Berliner Hefte zu Geschichte und Gegenwart der Stadt</em> sind eine fortlaufende Reihe kleiner Publikationen, die künstlerische, essayistische und aktivistische Praxen miteinander verbinden.</p> <p>Die Hefte thematisieren die sozialen, kulturellen und ökonomischen Veränderungen in Berlin und anderen Städten, und greifen in die stadtpolitischen Debatten sowohl historisch reflektierend wie aktuell informierend ein.</p> <p>Die <em>Berliner Hefte</em> verstehen sich als ein Produktionszusammenhang, der unterschiedlichen Autor*innen und Herausgeber*innen offensteht und das analoge und digitale Publizieren in Veranstaltungs- und Ausstellungsformate einbezieht.</p> <p>—</p> <p><strong>English Summary</strong></p> <p><em>The force of events creates blind spots, alternative perspectives and narratives go untold, texts and images remain hidden, and the disappearance of places undocumented.</em></p> <p>The <em>Berlin Journals—On the History and Present State of the City</em> is an ongoing series of small publications that link artistic, essayistic and activist practices.</p> <p>The journals address the social, cultural, and economic changes in Berlin and other cities, and intervene in urban political debates through historical reflection as well as information on current affairs.</p> <p>The <em>Berlin Journals</em> consider themselves a context for production open to different authors and editors, combining print and digital publishing with organizing events and exhibitions.</p>
